Ruqaiijah Yearby, the Oliver C. Schroeder Jr. Distinguished Research Scholar, associate director of the Law-Medicine Center and professor of law, gave the keynote address for a Cleveland Office of Minority Health event in April. Yearby presented a talk, titled “Eradicating Injustice to Attain Health Equity in Cleveland.”
Yearby also spoke about the intersection of race and health care at two events last fall: She was an invited speaker at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where she gave a presentation titled “Racial Disparities: The Injustice of Racial Bias in Health Care After the ACA.” The American Society for Bioethics and Humanities in San Diego also invited Yearby to talk on the topic.Ruqaiijah Yearby, the Oliver C.
