Self-management programs addressing specific targets can help people with epilepsy take control of their health and cope with day-to-day challenges, potentially increasing seizure control and quality of life.
Martha Sajatovic, professor of psychiatry and of neurology, will discuss the topic with a presentation titled "Science to Service in Targeted Training in Epilepsy Self-Management" at the next Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods (PRCHN) event. Part of PRCHN's Monthly Seminar Series, the event will take place Wednesday, July 11, from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the BioEnterprise Building (11000 Cedar Ave.), Room B-03.
The presentation will be followed by a brief panel discussion with Nurse Educator Eleanor Ryan, Research Coordinator Kari Zimmerman and Peer Educator Delilah Toles-Stedmire as well as a question and answer session.
