Sears think[box]'s Claire Dorsett discusses innovative university makerspaces
Higher ed makerspaces spur creativity on campus
EdTech: Claire Dorsett, executive director of Sears think[box], discussed innovative university makerspaces across the country. Dorsett noted how what makes think[box] especially novel is its free access to the public. “It gets our students out of the academic bubble,” she said. “They see and learn from folks in the community—some with years of industry experience and a solid understanding of real-world career paths, and others who are simply exploring making and tinkering with no prior experience at all.”
