The SpartanTHON Dance Marathon event will be held in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom from noon to midnight on Saturday, Feb. 15.
SpartanTHON is part of the National Dance Marathon Network, which raises money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Participants pledge to stand for 12 hours at our annual Dance Marathon. This year, which marks the 10th anniversary of SpartanTHON, the SpartanTHON organization hopes to surpass their goal of raising $500,000 for families at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. All proceeds go directly to Rainbow to fund child-life specialists and other programs to both decrease a child's time in a hospital, as well as make their time spent there more enjoyable.
There will be college students participating in the event, as well as high school students, community members and families from Rainbow Babies. Visit spartanthon.weebly.com or the SpartanTHON at CWRU Facebook page to learn more about the organization.
