UH MacDonald Women’s Hospital Research Opportunity

Researchers are looking for women who:

• Are between 18 and 40 years old
• Have a documented surgical diagnosis of endometriosis within the past 10 years
• Are not pregnant, less than 6 months postpartum or breastfeeding

What would we like to learn with this research study? We would like to learn more about the natural history of bone mineral density (strength of bones) in women with endometriosis as it is currently not known. We are seeking volunteers for a research study measuring Bone Mineral Density in women with symptomatic endometriosis receiving standard of care. What would you be asked to do for this study? You will be asked to undergo Bone Density scans at screening, then approximately every 6 months for 2 years. If you are eligible and participate in this research study, compensation is provided for your time and travel.
