Though there were plenty of different guesses to this week’s trivia question, no one correctly named the location on campus where, legend has it, you can share a kiss with your significant other to lead to a happy life together.
Many people guessed the Mather Arch, but according to Beyond the Fence: A Social History of Case Western Reserve by Richard E. Baznik, university historian and vice president emeritus for public affairs, a kiss between or underneath the “Unstable Tables” sculpture by Carl Floyd leads to a happy marriage.
The sculpture, located on Carlton Road near South Residential Village, is made of large sandstone blocks.
