Visit the newly expanded Sherwin-Williams Paint & Coatings Studio at Sears think[box]
The newly expanded Sherwin-Williams Paint & Coatings Studio is now open at Sears think[box].
Open to members of the Case Western Reserve University community, features of the enhanced space include:
- A larger overall footprint and substantially expanded 7’x8’ paint booth for larger-scale work;
- An upgraded HVAC system;
- A new powder-coating oven (4’×4’ footprint, 6’ tall) with suspension racks capable of accommodating full-size bike frames; and
- A new light box, which allows users to experiment with color theory and explore how different lighting conditions affect color perception.
With support from Sherwin-Williams and JobsOhio, these upgrades aim to enable more ambitious projects while strengthening the safety and quality of hands-on work. Student technicians at Sears think[box] also contributed to renovations by waterjet-cutting and powder-coating the room’s new commemorative signage, using new equipment made possible by this partnership.
