The Center for Career Success at Case Western Reserve University is seeking faculty and staff volunteer interviewers for its ninth annual Mock Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) Day on Friday, Sept. 11, in Sears Library Building, Room 229.
At this event, students will rotate through a series of timed stations, each with a unique prompt focused on competencies, such as communication, ethics, critical thinking and professionalism. This format closely mirrors what they’ll experience in real interviews for medical, physician assistant and dental schools, where MMIs have become a widely adopted evaluation method.
Those interested in helping students build confidence and develop the interpersonal and ethical reasoning skills critical for success in healthcare careers are invited to sign up for at least one hour-long volunteer time block. These blocks will begin promptly at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
During each session, volunteers will:
- Interview up to five students (one every 10 minutes);
- Use a provided prompt and suggested follow-up questions; and
- Fill out a short evaluation form for each student.
All materials will be sent in advance—no prior experience with MMIs is necessary.
