In the upcoming Deioma Lecture, Whitney Johnson will give a talk titled "Put Innovation in Overdrive: Dare to Disrupt."
Johnson—a Rose Park Advisors co-founder, a Harvard Business Review contributor and early-stage startup adviser— will share how she determines if a company and a prospective investment have an innovative culture.
In her talk, Johnson will re-imagine the S-curve as a tool for understanding the learning curve of an innovative culture, identifying variables that can accelerate/decelerate innovation such as taking the right kinds of risk, battling entitlement, and getting the mentoring equation right. This lecture will provide insight on the tools necessary to accelerate innovation in an organization.
The lecture is on Thursday, March 7, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Wolstein Research Building auditorium, preceded by a reception in the Wolstein Research Building lobby at 5 p.m.
