Interested in becoming a wellness ambassador? To learn how you can be a part of building a healthier campus, attend University Health & Counseling Services’ information session Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 6 to 7 p.m. in Kelvin Smith Library, Room 215.
Wellness ambassadors will serve as an extension of University Health & Counseling Services (UHCS) Wellness Program to assist with promoting and encouraging participation in wellness activities across campus.
Responsibilities
- Actively promote wellness program offerings to your student groups, resident floors, and departmental colleagues during meetings or by posting fliers, word of mouth or sending provided emails.
- Act as role models for the wellness initiative by practicing healthy behaviors and participating in wellness program offerings.
- Assist in building a healthy campus by developing and implementing wellness initiatives and events on campus.
- Help to improve the wellness program by providing continuous feedback to the UHCS Wellness Program.
Time commitment
- Wellness ambassador is a voluntary role and is done in addition to other current responsibilities and course work.
- A wellness ambassador should expect to spend anywhere from one to two hours a month acting as a wellness ambassador.
- Wellness ambassador is a one-year commitment.
