The University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education and the Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship will offer an initiative for faculty to learn about digital scholarship and incorporate that knowledge into their teaching.
The initiative will feature a series of five sessions. Faculty who attend all five sessions will be eligible for funds to use digital scholarship projects to advance student learning.
Participants will:
- Learn how to use text mining and data visualization tools to quickly identify trends or themes in large bodies of text;
- Develop techniques for communicating with data; and
- Gain strategies for incorporating digital tools and resources into the classroom.
