Spring Student Roadmap

Orientation at CWRU is not just one week of activities. Orientation at CWRU is a process for new students that starts now and flows into the fall semester. Your Roadmap shows the various activities, forms and tasks you will need to complete as an incoming student.

When it’s time for an item to be active, you will see live links in your portal and the Roadmap website. If something is not hyperlinked in that block, it will most likely be an item that will be emailed to you. So always pay attention to your CWRU email (abc123@case.edu).

Launch dates for items are below. Items will be live on your portal at 7 p.m. Eastern.

PREPARE

Upload a recent photo. This photo will appear on your CWRU student ID card.

Be sure to review all of the photo submission requirements.

Updating your preferred name allows you to have that preferred name on your CWRU student ID card and on the rosters for your classes.

Submitting information for your advisors helps them prepare for your initial meeting with your four-year advisor.

This item takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

This item lets us know if you will be submitting any test scores or college credit.

  • You can indicate which test scores you plan on sending. This is not sending your actual scores, just letting us know your plan!
  • You can download the “College Credit Eligibility Form” to inform us about any college credit you plan to submit for review.

The Math Placement will appear on your portal if you are required to take the placement exam. This is not required for everyone.

Please note: You have 60 minutes to complete the Math Placement once you start it so make sure you have set aside the appropriate amount of time to complete it. You can not stop and come back to it once you have begun.

If you need accommodations for housing, classes, etc. it is important that you complete this item so that those accommodations can be reviewed as soon as possible.
This is the official application that indicates that you will be living on campus. In this application you will choose your meal plan options, indicate roommate and building preferences, and agree to the terms and conditions of the Residence Hall Agreement.
Students planning to commute to campus need to fill out a Housing Release Request (found in the housing application). Students are eligible to commute from home only if they plan to live at their parents’/guardians’ permanent home which is within 40 miles of campus.
You will receive an email with the name of your four-year advisor on October 14. This will include instructions on how to schedule an appointment with your four-year advisor.

Discover Days is required for all new first-year students. Filling out this form assists us in preparing for your arrival in August.

This form should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

Once your final high school transcript has been reviewed, then you will see a green check mark next to this item in your portal.
