Your residence hall is more than just a place to sleep—it can be a place to learn, build connections, develop new skills and create a sense of home at Case Western Reserve University. The Office of Residence Life works alongside students to help make their residential experience meaningful, supportive and successful.
Living on campus is often one of the easiest ways to learn about university resources, meet other students and discover opportunities outside the classroom. Our Residence Life staff are here to help you navigate college life—whether that means answering questions, connecting you with support services or helping you get involved in ways that feel comfortable for you.
Throughout the year, you'll have opportunities to participate in programs, events and activities that support many aspects of student life. Topics might include meeting new people, learning how to use campus resources, managing everyday responsibilities such as laundry and meal planning, finding study strategies that work for you, practicing self-care and making decisions that support your well-being.
There is no one "right" way to be involved. Some students enjoy attending lots of events and meeting new people, while others prefer smaller groups, quieter activities or building connections over time. We encourage you to engage in ways that match your interests, needs and comfort level.
We look forward to helping you explore campus, find community, build confidence and develop the skills and habits that will support your success both inside and outside the classroom.
