There are so many ways to get involved at CWRU that it can all be very overwhelming at times—that is why I love these low-commitment options!
- My favorite thing about CWRU? I’m glad you asked! I love that you do not need to apply to join a club. I have tried so many things here, from ceramics to aerial arts to matcha making to plant care—you name it! I love the freedom of being able to explore my interests without having to commit permanently. Whether you are just looking for a fun weekend plan or wish to learn something new, the clubs are here for you!
- Want to help, but don’t know how? The Center For Civic Engagement and Learning (CCEL) can connect you with volunteer opportunities that suit your interests! You can join them for many different events or accept volunteering placements across Cleveland. Additionally, many clubs on campus hold volunteering events that do not require consistent participation. If you fall in love with volunteering, CCEL can get you academic credit for it!
- Want to make a change in your immediate surroundings? The Community Councils provide a low stress environment to make a change in your residential community. If you love to plan events, are looking for a group of like-minded people or want to be at the table when residential improvements are discussed, a Community Council may be for you!
