Letter from the 2025 Orientation Executive Board

As members of the 2025 Orientation Executive Board and as your peers, we are so excited to welcome you to Case Western Reserve University. We spent the past semester and summer hiring and training Orientation Leaders, organizing events and planning for your arrival to campus. We always say that you get out of Orientation what you put into it, so we hope you take advantage of all of the opportunities to meet new friends, talk with offices and resources on and around campus, discover new interests and explore Cleveland.

There’s a reason you are here. Be open to new experiences. Try out a club, or take a class that’s completely outside of your major. Find something exciting to do off campus, whether it be trying new restaurants, going to a sports game or sitting on the beach. Find what makes this place feel special because before you know it, you’ll be a senior wondering how you’ll ever leave and find a new place to call home. Take it from us. In a few years, you’ll think back on Discover Week and recognize how much you’ve changed and grown. It’s a daunting thought, but you won’t go it alone. You have your peers that you’ll soon stand by on tradition night for your class photo. Lean on them, learn from them, celebrate your accomplishments and mourn your losses together.

We’re so excited to be a part of the beginning of your CWRU journey as we reach the end of ours. If you take anything from this letter, let it be this: You were meant to be here, you’ll find what makes you belong and everything will turn out OK.

With love,

Avisha, Cristiana, Julia, Shruti & Tolu (Class of 2026)
