Stay updated with tasks in your Study Abroad portal

It is important that you keep monitoring and completing tasks in your Study Abroad portal! You received an email earlier this week from Dean Watkins outlining specific outstanding tasks you must complete. In addition to reviewing your CWRU email for this information, be sure to check your email for your roommate assignment.

Some highlights of important tasks include:

  • Arrival details: Booked your flight? Let us know! Specific instructions and times will be sent to you in early August via email.
  • Health information and self-assessment for travel: This will help you self-evaluate what you should prepare for proactively with your doctor before departure for Spain.
  • WorldKind Academy modules: These cover important health and safety topics while abroad. You should reserve 3 to 4 hours to complete these modules, but should not attempt to complete them all at once.
  • Pre-departure academic and cultural education uploads: You will complete a study abroad survival skills worksheet, study abroad goals worksheet and an IDR Labs Cultural Dimensions test.
  • Host institution ID card: You must check your CWRU email for this item. Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) has been sending information on this process. Follow the instructions in that email to obtain your digital ID card and upload a screenshot. More information can be found here

Beyond the above listed tasks, students and families must register for the Student & Family Welcome Reception on Sunday, August 31. This event is required for CWRU in Madrid students. All attendees must register here by Wednesday, August 6.
