Eight outstanding members of the Class of 2022 share their stories
As more than 3,000 students earned their diplomas, The Daily highlighted eight outstanding graduates—one from each school—before they moved on to the next steps of their professional journeys.
First Destination Survey
Case Western Reserve University’s Class of 2021 graduated in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite having at least a full year of their undergraduate experience impacted by health and safety protocols, including having limited access to certain experiential education activities, the graduates who participated in the annual First Destination Survey have gone on to have remarkable outcomes.
Seven students receive prestigious scholarships
Seven CWRU students recently were selected for a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship from the U.S. Department of State. This prestigious scholarship program is designed to offer students with limited financial means the opportunity to study or intern abroad to help them develop skills to aid in national security and economic prosperity.
Faculty Story
Helping People Change: Coaching with Compassion for Lifelong Learning and Growth, a book written by Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management faculty members Richard Boyatzis, Melvin Smith and Ellen Van Oosten, was named one of the best professional development books of 2022 by Teambuilding.com.
