To the Case Western Reserve University Community:
I write today with news that the acting director of the Office of Management and Budget issued a new memo today rescinding his Jan. 27 memo, which temporarily paused federal agency grant, loan, and other financial assistance programs.
While this is welcome news to the national research community, there remains uncertainty around the new administration’s executive orders and their impact on higher education.
We are continuing to assess these executive orders and their potential implications on our research, academics and overall community. For now, to help our researchers better understand the changing research environment, we have launched a webpage on the Office of Research and Technology Management website. This page will be updated as information becomes available, so I encourage you to check back regularly.
This sense of unknown and constant change can be unsettling. We will navigate these times and stay true to our values. We will continue to advance research and scholarship, educate the next generation of exceptional students and engage with our local community.
