About the Program

Bridge the divide between traditional finance and emerging technologies with a Certificate in FinTech (financial technology) from Case Western Reserve University. Offered through Weatherhead School of Management, the FinTech certificate is designed to equip you to excel at companies that operate in insurance, payment, asset management and personal finance management. With this certificate, you’ll be a part of the cutting-edge intersection of technology and financial services.

What to Expect

As a student in our FinTech program, you’ll have an opportunity to learn about the core finance fundamentals that make FinTech distinct from traditional banking and finance.

You'll choose three courses from the following certificate set:

  • Corporate Financial Technology
  • Financial Modeling
  • Blockchains, Cryptocurrencies and Crypto Ventures
  • Artificial Intelligence for Financial Modeling
  • Banking and RegTech

Our self-paced learning style will allow you to complete the certificate in as little as one semester, or you have the option to spread out courses over time. In addition to the Weatherhead School certificate, you’ll also have the opportunity to stack your credits toward our Master of Finance degree.

“FinTech isn’t a field, but a way the industry has changed. It is the application of various digital technologies that is replacing or creating financial transactions in banking, investing, lending, etc. It is a program that is heavily focused on applications.”
