About the Program

With the ability to take classes on campus, online or in a hybrid format, Weatherhead School of Management’s Part-Time MBA program offers you the freedom to earn your degree at your own pace as a working professional. In our program—ranked #12 in the country according to Fortune— you can advance your career in as little as two years or in up to three years. Our curriculum combines hard-skill courses, including those in accounting, finance, operations and business analytics, with soft-skill courses, such as those on leadership and organizational behavior, to prepare you for an ever-changing business world.

What to Expect

With faculty guidance, you’ll create a personalized learning plan through our Leadership Assessment and Development (LEAD) course, combining elective options with our curriculum to produce an integrated degree that hones your general management skills. We’ll help you consider the pace that works best for you to complete the required 48 hours of coursework on whichever degree path best suits your schedule.

Both online courses and in-person classes generally take place in the evening, usually one night per week in the fall and spring semesters and sometimes two nights per week in the summer. You’ll choose five elective options in the program’s final stages and can determine your own specialization without the rigid structure of formalized concentration areas.

As a father and full-time employee, I found CWRU's part-time MBA program to be as accessible as it was worthwhile. The curriculum gave me the tools and perspective required to monitor and adapt to fast-moving fields like R&D.
