Cuyahoga County sees surge in children killed, children charged with murder

Begun Professor and director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention, Research and Education, weighed in on the surge last year in the number of children who succumbed to fatal violence—both those killed by it and those accused of perpetrating it—as a result of increased access to guns. “We like to talk about how tough it was growing up,” Flannery said. “But it’s just different now.”
