PhD student Braveheart Gillani earns award for work related to two-spirit, queer and trans people of color communities

Braveheart Gillani, a doctoral student at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, was selected for the Two-Spirit, Queer, and Trans People of Color (2-QTPOC) Award, which will be presented at the 2023 Council on Social Work Education Annual Program Meeting Oct. 26–29 in Atlanta

This award is for individuals who have made significant contributions to 2-QTPOC communities through peer-reviewed research, mentorship or creation of an activity or program focused on inclusion.
