Light the Campus: Day of Remembrance

Each year, Case Western Reserve University lights a part of campus to remember community members and their loved ones who have passed away. Students, faculty and staff can submit names to be read during the ceremony.

The Light the Campus ceremony will be held on Monday, Feb. 26, at 5 p.m. on the Kelvin Smith Library Oval.

In addition to lighting the trees around the library during the ceremony, students, faculty and staff can pick-up a battery-powered candle at Thwing Center after the ceremony to display in their office, residence hall or home window throughout the month of March. Candles need to be picked-up in person on the day of the ceremony.

University Health and Counseling Services is also looking for volunteers to assist with reading names and distributing candles during the event.

Complete the form in CampusGroups to submit a name, order a candle or sign up to volunteer.
