Join the Kelvin Smith Library for an opening reception, talk and musical performance, along with an Art Gallery exhibit that uncovers the history of sheet music publishing and American culture from the Tin Pan Alley era (1895 through the mid-20th century).
In his talk and performance, Dr. Daniel Goldmark, Associate Dean and Head of Popular Music Studies, will immerse audiences in a world that seems at once anachronistic, yet incredibly familiar to us today.
This event will be held on Friday, Sept. 27, noon to 1 p.m. at the Art Gallery in Kelvin Smith Library.
