The Undergraduate Research Office is here to:
- help students learn about research and creative project opportunities
- assist faculty members with undergraduate research program development and funding
- provide educational seminars about the research process and information sessions about our programs
- celebrate our students' accomplishments.
Case Western Reserve University has a long tradition of strong undergraduate education, world-class research and graduate programs. The University offers many opportunities for students interested in getting involved in undergraduate research and creative endeavors, no matter their field of study. Research can be undertaken as a volunteer opportunity, for academic credit or for pay (through grant funding or work-study).

CWRU’s small undergraduate population facilitates the building of relationships between students and professors. This can lead to research opportunities, both during the academic year and over summer. Many professors accept undergraduates on an ongoing basis to assist in their research.

CWRU is a research-intensive institution with world-class research facilities and technology supporting a wide variety of research projects in all disciplines. This provides a rich environment for our undergraduates to obtain research opportunities.

CWRU is located in Cleveland’s University Circle, home to The Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Cleveland Botanical Gardens and many other institutions which offer numerous potential opportunities for students interested in research and creative endeavors.
