Each semester, the finance department holds an award ceremony to recognize its outstanding students, in the categories of leadership and academic excellence. This year, student Sicheng Chen received the Student Leadership Award and Wan Liu was named an Outstanding Student in Finance.
Faculty members within the department choose the recipient of the Outstanding Student in Finance award, which is given to a graduating student who exhibits academic excellence within the MSM-Finance program.
"It is rewarding for a faculty to have a student like Wan Liu in class,” said Leonardo Madureira, associate professor, banking and finance. “The quality of her work is impeccable. She has shown skills, dedication and intelligence while attending my course."
The Student Leadership Award receives nominations from graduating MSM-Finance students and is awarded to a student who serves as a leader and role model. The recipient also promotes the MSM-Finance program and the Weatherhead image in a positive way, contributes to the total community and stimulates the classroom experience.
