Recognize Excellence… Nominations Sought for the Weatherhead Hall of Fame

Weatherhead Hall of Fame

Weatherhead has a legacy of challenging the status quo to provide innovative ideas to empower future leaders to make positive, sustainable, and far-reaching changes in the world. Today, many see our building as a symbol of this out-of-the-box thinking. However, it is people – faculty, staff, alumni, and friends – who have made the school different by design. These individuals can now be honored through a new award.

The Weatherhead School of Management’s Hall of Fame will annually recognize alumni and friends whose professional and personal life achievements and contributions bring honor and distinction to the school, to Case Western Reserve University, and society at large.

Honorees are described as individuals who are:

  • Innovative change agents.
  • Respected thought-leaders in their professions.
  • "Accomplished” in their field with proven track records of achievement.
  • Their professional contributions are in sync with the values of WSOM and CWRU.
  • Powerful role models by their actions/examples.
  • Engage in their communities and contribute to improving society.
  • Champions of ethical business practices.
  • Participate in and support the life and activities of WSOM and CWRU.
  • Through their leadership, they demonstrate unpretentious excellence.

“This is an exciting new initiative that will recognize our alumni and friends in perpetuity for their lifetime achievements,” said Brian Breittholz, executive director of alumni relations for the Weatherhead School of Management.

Please take some time to reflect on potential candidates and submit nominations to the Hall of Fame Nomination Form.

Nominations will be accepted now through June 3, 2024. A selection committee comprised of faculty, staff, alumni, and students will meet to review all candidates and submit a slate of honorees.  This year’s inaugural class will be recognized at a special event on November 8, 2024.
