Calling All NonProfits! Digital Transformation Pitch Competition

xLab is inviting established non-profit organizations to submit project ideas for the chance to collaborate with talented students on innovative solutions in digital transformation. Through this competition, selected non-profits will be awarded the opportunity to work with xLab on a project for the Fall 2025 semester. Overseen by expert faculty and industry mentors, student teams will work directly with representatives from the non-profit organization. At the end of the semester (15 weeks), project deliverables may include a proof of concept technology application, customer research report, competitive analysis, AI model, or technology roadmap.

Pitch Process

  • Proposals should be submitted to Celeste Blau, celeste.blau@case.edu, by Friday, February 28.
  • The top 3-5 proposals will be notified of their invitation to the next round of pitching by Friday, March 21.
  • Organizations moving to the next round are invited to pitch their ideas in person on Thursday, April 17.
  • The winning organizations will be paired with a team of students who will work on the project during the Fall 2025 semester.

How to Submit

  • Submit a brief project proposal (3 pages maximum) outlining their challenge and the desired outcomes.
  • Include organization’s annual report and 501c3 determination letter.
  • Proposals will be reviewed by xLab staff, faculty, and past/current students.
  • Send submissions to Celeste Blau, celeste.blau@case.edu by February 28.

Eligibility

  • Open to established non-profit organizations that have been in operation for at least three years.
  • Organizations must have a proven track record of fiscal responsibility.
  • Submissions should address potential digital innovation projects focused on areas such as data analysis, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, digital transformation, or
  • customer discovery.
  • Proposals should include how the project will benefit from university expertise and how it will contribute to the organization’s mission.
