xLab and AI23 are teaming up this semester on a project with Weatherhead graduate students to integrate generative artificial intelligence (AI) with human intelligence. This project will explore a Human-AI collaboration, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. It will focus on a human-in-the-loop approach, where AI and human expertise complement each other to achieve superior outcomes. This approach will not only enhance the capabilities of AI systems but also leverage human insights to refine and improve AI performance.
The teams will collaborate with client AXS, a global leader in live event ticketing, wholly-owned by entertainment giant, AEG, to apply the GenAI Enablement Framework (APEX). This framework is designed to optimize call center operations by improving decision-making processes and contextual understanding through advanced AI technologies. By addressing real-world challenges, this initiative aims to deliver actionable insights and practical solutions that drive operational excellence.
One of the core goals of the project is to create a continuous feedback loop between humans and AI. This dynamic interaction will enable AI systems to learn and evolve based on real-world data, while simultaneously empowering employees with advanced tools and insights.
The project will use Meta’s open models, including Llama 2 and Llama 3, hosted on Ollama.ai. Integrating these models using Open WebUI will give the students and clients access to robust and flexible AI infrastructure that will provide the foundation for experimentation and innovation, allowing the team to explore new possibilities and push the boundaries of AI applications. Utilizing open-source tools and environments will make the technologies and methodologies developed accessible to a broader community and help foster a collaborative ecosystem for students, faculty, and industry partners.
