What prerequisites do I need to enroll in this course?
Students must be ages 18 and up with a solid foundation in computer literacy. You should know how to navigate an operating system such as Windows or macOS. 

What technology and devices do I need?
Nothing is required.  We will provide computers, Ableton Live software, and headphones.  However, you are welcome to download and install the fully functional trial version of Ableton Suite on your own laptop before arriving.  You're also welcome to bring your own headphones if you prefer.  If you choose to use your own laptop, the recommended computer specification includes i5 or better processor. 8GB of RAM. You will need at least 100GB of free storage space on your hard drive for necessary software and storage for audio files. 

Do I get to keep the software after the course ends? No, Ableton Live licenses are not included.  You'll have access to Ableton Live Suite on the provided computers.  The free trial version of Ableton Live gives you full access for 90 days on your own computer.  If you are interested in purchasing an Ableton Live license after the session, we can help facilitate discounted licenses. Note the 3 versions: Intro, Standard, and Suite

What is the time commitment for this course?
This is a one-time 90-minute workshop.

What is the refund policy?
Participants may request a refund no later than 10 days prior to the start date of the course.  Refunds will be processed by CWRU.

Will I receive credit for this course?
No. This is a non-credit-bearing program.
 
Will I receive a certificate of completion?
Yes.  Students will receive a certificate of completion.
