Emotional Intelligence Sequence:

Using the acclaimed Mayer Salovey Caruso (MSC) emotional intelligence ability-model, this suite of four courses will help you explore how to best incorporate emotion and reasoning for improved decision-making.

  1. Identifying Emotions: Explore the art and science of identifying emotions, and learn why getting it right is so critical.
  2. Using Emotions: Before you are even consciously aware of the presence of an emotional state, your physiological body has been processing this information. Learn what is going on in this phase and how to develop skills around using emotions to facilitate thought.
  3. Understanding Emotions: Emotions are not static; they evolve over time based on the situation and the individuals involved. Learn how emotions progress and how to make choices that move them into the desired direction.
  4. Managing Emotions: Put it all together to make sound decisions that end well.

Measuring Your Emotional Intelligence – The Mayer Salovey Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT):
Take the MSCEIT to learn about your level of ability relative to the four domains of the MSC model. For more information, contact Robert M. Hall at 216.368.8502 or rmh129@case.edu.

Improving Your Time Management: In this highly customized workshop, you’ll first complete an online self-assessment to generate a personal report that gives you feedback on your skills as it pertains to 12 areas associated with managing time effectively. You’ll then explore various tools and techniques that can be used to increase organization and effectiveness.

The Resilience Advantage: How would you feel if you were more resilient? Can you increase your resilience? Resilience is the capacity to prepare for, recover from and adapt in the face of stress, challenge or adversity. Based on the research and findings of HeartMath Institute, this course is designed to help participants manage stress and improve performance with increased clarity of thinking and innovation.
