USPTO

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) provides comprehensive resources tailored to inventors and entrepreneurs. These resources assist individuals in understanding intellectual property basics and the patent and trademark application process.

SCORE Cleveland

SCORE Cleveland is a chapter of SCORE, a nonprofit organization that provides free mentoring, workshops, and resources to small businesses and entrepreneurs. SCORE stands for Service Corps of Retired Executives and uses a nationwide network of experienced business professionals as volunteer mentors to offer guidance and support to individuals looking to start or grow their businesses.

CIPLA

The Cleveland Intellectual Property Association (CIPLA) is a professional organization of bar registered attorneys involved in patents, trademarks, copyrights, and related legal matters.  CIPLA serves as a hub for networking, education, and the promotion of best practices in intellectual property law.

CMBA - Lawyer Referral

The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) Lawyer Referral Service has 140+ attorneys who are experienced in 100+ areas of the law, including Intellectual Property Law. There is no charge for receiving a referral from the CMBA's Lawyer Referral Service and there is no charge for the initial consultation with the referred attorney.

JumpStart Entrepreneurial Network

The JumpStart Entrepreneurial Network is a connected group of entrepreneurial support organizations delivering the resources tech-based entrepreneurs need most: capital, space, advice and connections. Supported in part by Ohio Third Frontier, Network partners collaborate to help entrepreneurs grow early stage companies here in northeast Ohio.

Great Lakes Innovation & Development Enterprise (GLIDE)

Founded in 2001, GLIDE is a comprehensive regional innovation center, resource hub, and business incubator that supports all facets of the start-up, development, and growth of enterprises. Created by a partnership between the Lorain County Commissioners, Lorain County Community College, and the Ohio Department of Development, GLIDE's objective is to grow jobs and spearhead economic growth in both Lorain County and the Northern Ohio region.
