- The Community Partnership on Aging is searching for a Community-based Social Worker.
- Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is adding new social worker positions at numerous institutions nationwide:
- A GS-11 position requires an MSW and an unrestricted clinical license.
- A GS-9 position requires an MSW but does NOT require a clinical license.
- Most positions are flexible and can be posted at the GS-9 or GS-11 level.
These positions are great opportunities for new MSW graduates to step right into well-paid, professional federal government positions. Any BOP Social Worker position may be considered for a GS-9 or GS-11 designation. Job duties for each of these designations are very similar, but a GS-11 designation pays a higher salary.
There are numerous benefits and incentives available to BOP social workers, including the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program which will pay up to $75,000 towards the employees qualifying student loans. There are also relocation and retention lump sum incentive payments available depending on the job location.
