Graduate/Professional Tuition & Fees

Each of Case Western Reserve University’s graduate and professional schools and programs has different tuition and fee structures. To better understand the specific program’s rates, use the navigation in this section to find out exact details.

Current and prospective students looking for tuition and fees information for Case School of Engineering or College of Arts and Sciences should refer to the School of Graduate Studies page.

Fees and Expenses

In addition to tuition, graduate and professional students have fees that must be paid. Fees and expenses are listed on each school’s page and provided for informational purposes and may not represent all fees and charges a student may incur.  In addition to program fees and expenses, there may be academic course fees that can be found in the Schedule of Classes. The fees that may be eligible to waive or opt-out are the Student Medical Plan Fee and One to One Fitness Membership Fee.

Student Medical Plan Fee

CWRU’s Student Medical Plan provides coverage for preventive care, medical and mental health services, prescriptions, discount dental and vision.  The Plan is administered by Aetna Student Health.  Students who have comparable coverage that meets the University’s waiver criteria, may be eligible to waive the Student Medical Plan through the Student Information System (SIS).  The waiver criteria can be found by visiting the Student Medical Plan website.  The waiver is an annual waiver, meaning the waiver for the fall semester will apply to the spring semester.  The self-service option through Student Information System (SIS) must be submitted by the semester's stated tuition due date.  After that time, a late waiver appeal must be submitted.  For additional information about the student medical plan or the late waiver appeal process, please visit the Student Medical Plan website.

One to One Fitness Membership Fee

Graduate and professional students receive discounted memberships to One to One Fitness Center, a CWRU fitness center on Adelbert Road. The fee plus sales tax will be automatically charged to graduate and professional students in the fall and spring semesters unless they choose to opt out through the Student Information System.  Students must opt-out every semester.  The self-service opt-out option closes as of the stated tuition due date. After that time, an email waiver must be submitted to One to One Fitness (onetoone@case.edu). For additional information, please visit the One to One Fitness Center website.
