Writing Workshop with Marjorie Hudson

Marjorie Hudson is a fiction writer, memoirist, and community activist. She founded the George Moses Horton Project to inspire and educate children and adults about this enslaved man, in North Carolina, who sold his poems to buy his freedom. She was also a features editor and copyediting chief for Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill. In this workshop, she will share her experiences with editing, writing and building literary community through activism, which will be followed by an informal lunch. This event is co-sponsored by Writers House. Writing Workshop space is limited.
