Arthur L. Parker/Parker Hannifin 

Arthur L. Parker (CSAS ’1907) invented pneumatic braking systems for trucks and buses. This invention led to the founding of Parker Appliance Co., which evolved into Parker Hannifin Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of motion and control technologies with more than $13 billion in annual sales. 

A $2 million commitment from the Parker Hannifin Foundation created the Arthur L. Parker Endowed Chair in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science departments at Case Western Reserve University.
