Frank Ryan led the Cleveland Browns to their most recent championship in 1964 as a quarterback, and he led his students to discovery as a mathematics professor. The academic taught at Case Institute of Technology and then Case Western Reserve University while also playing professionally for the Cleveland Browns and then the Washington Redskins.
