Brothers Joe and Anthony Russo helped build the Marvel Universe, directing Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Captain America: Civil War and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. They have directed a range of other movies, including Cherry, which filmed at CWRU, and television shows. They won a Primetime Emmy Award for their work on the television series Arrested Development.
But their careers are rooted here: The two worked on their first feature film, Pieces, while graduate students at Case Western Reserve.
