The CWRU Emeriti Academy was launched by three Distinguished University Professors in the fall of 2015 to foster closer continuing relationships with emeriti faculty after they retire from full-time employment. The Emeriti Academy is administered through the Office of Emeriti Affairs in the Office of the Provost.
The CWRU Emeriti Academy is a member of the Association of Retirement Organizations in Higher Education (AROHE). See www.arohe.org.
Monthly Emeriti Lunches
CWRU Emeriti Academy invites you attend informal lunches with your Emeriti colleagues on the second Wednesday of each month throughout the academic year. The lunches will be at Michelson & Morley in the Tinkham Veale University Center at noon.

Love, intrigue, heartache, and broken dreams are played out against the backdrop of a country estate in Russia in this delicate, classic tale by Russia’s greatest playwright, translated and adapted by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Annie Baker.

Emeriti Book Club
For fans of British author John le Carre, writer of espionage novels, and for those who just simply enjoy reading, please save Thursday, April 19th, 11:30am-1:00pm, for a book discussion with your Emeriti colleagues.
The group will discuss le Carre's 2017 novel A Legacy of Spies, as well as his memoir The Pigeon Tunnel: Stories from My Life, published in 2016.
The discussion will be facilitated by Jim Simmelink, Associate Professor Emeritus of Restorative Dentistry, and Sandy Russ, Distinguished University Professor and Louis D. Beaumont University Professor, Department of Psychological Sciences. The event will be held at the Linsalata Alumni Center.
Read one or both books, enjoy a tasty lunch, and feel free to bring a guest!
