Using engineering and immunology principles, the Acharya Lab at Case Western Reserve University probes synthetic materials and biological entities at the molecular, organ and organism level to understand the behavior of the system.

Our Research
Our team focuses on utilizing biomaterials as tools to engineer the immune system. We utilize biomaterials to modulate the metabolism of the immune cells to affect their function and modulate the disease outcome.

Our Team
The goal of Acharya Lab is to train leader-scientists so that they can take on emerging challenges and develop smart solutions in engineering and healthcare.

Our Publications
Numerous publications come out of our lab, which focus on autoimmune diseases, cancer and inflammatory and infectious diseases.
