Alianza Latina/Latino Alliance supports inclusion and diversity at CWRU and in the local community. The group highlights the values and achievements of Hispanic/Latino faculty and staff and collaborates with student organizations like La Alianza and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) to boost recruitment and retention of Latino students. It also partners with external Hispanic organizations to promote cultural diversity and public service.
Membership Benefits
Alianza Latina/Latino Alliance helps Latino students, faculty, and staff thrive professionally and personally while fostering a welcoming community. It shares Latino culture, builds bridges with Cleveland’s Hispanic community, and supports increased participation in local Hispanic activities. The group holds online meetings every other Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. during the academic year.
