About
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning and Allies (LGBTQA) Research Group is a joint project of the Office of Faculty Development and the LGBT Center. This new interdisciplinary group of faculty, staff, and administrators focuses on scholarly endeavors and research projects and/or initiatives related to LGBTQA studies.
Goals for the LGBTQA Research Group
To Create Community
To provide support, networking and mentorship to those engaged with LGBTQA research or teaching.
To Support Research
To provide a means of developing potential research collaborations, share methodology, resources and information. Also as a means to solicit and provide feedback to colleagues on presentations, papers, research proposals, grants and so on.
To Develop Teaching
To provide information and resources on teaching and to encourage the development of nee LGBTQA curriculum, especially with respect to turning research into practice.
To Encourage Mentorship
Provide a means to support the Q-Grad group through mentoring or potentially involving students in LGBTQA research projects.
