Faculty and Staff Surveys

Examines the quality of work environment, college/school and department leadership, academic resources and support, campus climate, tenure criteria, retention, and overall satisfaction with the university.  Access the results from the Faculty Climate Survey (login required).

Undergraduate Surveys

Cooperative Institutional Research Program Surveys

The Freshman Survey (TFS)

Examines a wide range of student characteristics: parental income and education, ethnicity, and other demographic items; financial aid; secondary school achievement and activities; educational and career plans; and values, attitudes, beliefs, and self-concept. Intended to be administered during the same year as the College Senior Survey and Your First College Year Survey.

The Cooperative Institutional Research Program's freshman survey project is aimed at providing information on the characteristics, educational goals, and aspirations of first-time college students. CWRU has participated in the national freshman survey project eight times since 1997, most recently in 2013.  CIRP: Survey Overview

Your First College Year Survey (YFCY)

Assesses the academic and personal development of students.  Intended to be administered in conjunction with the Freshman Survey and the College Senior SurveyYFCY: Survey Instrument

College Senior Survey (CSS)

Connects academic, civic, and diversity outcomes with a comprehensive set of college experiences to measure the impact of college. Intended to be administered with the Freshman Survey and Your First College Year Survey. CSS: Survey Instrument

 

National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)

Measures the quality of student learning and the extent to which students engage in educational practices which are associated with high levels of learning and development. Intended to be administered during the same year as the Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement.  NSSE: Survey Instrument

 

CWRU Senior Survey

Examines seniors' overall college experiences, learning that took place while at CWRU, and plans for after college. These questions were merged into the CWRU Student Experience Survey (CWRUSES)

 

CWRU Student Experience Survey (CWRUSES)

CWRU Student Experience Survey (CWRUSES):  Examines overall campus experience, including overall satisfaction, satisfaction with services and resources, time spent on activities, and the campus climate for inclusion and diversity among undergraduate students. It replaces the CWRU Senior Survey and is administered to a sample of undergraduates across years.


Graduate Surveys

CWRU Student Experience Survey (CWRUSES)

CWRU Student Experience Survey (CWRUSES):  Examines overall campus experience, including overall satisfaction, satisfaction with services and resources, time spent on activities, and the campus climate for inclusion and diversity among graduate students. Students participating in this survey are sampled from the School of Graduate Studies and other schools as requested.

 

Graduate and Professional Survey (GPS)

The Graduate and Professional Survey examines the overall educational experience, including the quality of coursework, learning and career preparation, program support, interactions, student life, and financial support.
