2023 in review: School of Law in the media

Law School exterior

In what has become commonplace, faculty members at the School of Law at Case Western Reserve University are often the first contact for journalists trying to make sense of a news story.

From divisive politics to armed conflicts around the world, and from abortion law to the fallout from the train derailment disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, the expertise and insight of the faculty were at the forefront of the stories making headlines nationally and internationally this year.

In fact, law school faculty were placed in more than 750 media stories in 2023 alone.

University Marketing and Communications works to raise the university’s national and international profile through positive coverage of its newsworthy people, places and accomplishments in respected online and print publications and specialty media.

Look back at some of the highlights of the CWRU School of Law in the media—keep in mind this is just a fraction of the media mentions—from the past year.
