CWRU team excels in ABA’s National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition

On Wednesday, Feb. 28, seven students traveled from Cleveland to San Francisco to participate in the ABA’s National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition. Over the three day competition, the team of David Meredith, Michael O’Donnell and Kyle Timmerman finished 1-2, defeating Yale Law School in the final round. The team of Kory Roth and Kelsey Moore advanced to the Regional Finals where they lost a close match to Seattle University. Kelsey Moore received an award for second best oralist out of all participants in the Western Regional (over 80 students).

The teams had bailiff support from Andrew Klemm and Bobby Read during the competition and coaching support from Professors Katy Mercer and Andrew Pollis.
