Delanté Spencer Thomas, director of JD Advantage Advising and Outreach at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, has been named to Crain's Cleveland Business 2021 Forty Under 40.
As the law school’s JD Advantage director, Thomas counsels law students in careers outside of the traditional legal track. These include jobs in business, government, the foreign service, and public interest organizations where a JD, though not required, can be extremely advantageous.
Thomas is also the newly elected president of the Norman S. Minor Bar Association (NSMBA) for the 2022-2024 term. NSMBA is Northeast Ohio’s Black bar association.
Crain’s Cleveland Business annual Forty Under 40 issue highlights the achievements of 40 young leaders who achieve and are expected to play a substantial role in northeast Ohio in the coming decades. CWRU Law School alum and Cleveland Mayor-elect Justin Bibb (LAW ‘18) was in the Crain’s Forty Under 40 class last year.
“We are very proud of our colleague, Delanté Thomas,” said Co-Dean Michael Scharf. “As a recognized leader in Cleveland, he is an outstanding mentor and incredible resource for our students.”
