Leadership Action Projects

During their junior and/or senior year, scholars engaged in the planning and execution of a Leadership Action Project that demonstrated measurable impact in response to a social problem of their choosing. Under the supervision of PLDP staff and a faculty mentor, scholars clarified their topic of choice, developed a foundational understanding of the social issues related to that topic, and then designed and carried out a project that responded to an identified need. Projects included a traditional thesis, research, and/or a creative endeavor such as a performance or multimedia art piece. Scholars also used summer experiential learning to refine their interests and help shape their projects.
