Betul Hatipoglu, MD, is a professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Vice Chair at University Hospitals (UH) System Clinical Affairs, Medical Director of the Diabetes & Obesity Center, and the Mary B. Lee Chair in Adult Endocrinology at University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center.
Prior to her appointment at University Hospitals, Hatipoglu was a staff endocrinologist at the Cleveland Clinic from 2008 to 2020 and an assistant professor of medicine and medical director for Pancreas and Islet Cell Transplant Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago for nearly eight years prior.

Research Interests
Betul Hatipoglu’s clinical interests include diabetes, thyroid disease in woman, and pituitary and adrenal disorders. She received numerous excellence in teaching awards from different institutions and mentorship awards. Her main research interests are islet transplantation and diabetes management in population health.
