Dr. Dennis has over 20 years of experience in molecular biology, protein chemistry, and cell biology.

Emre Bektik, PhD

Postdoctoral Scholar

Dr. Bektik focus on investigating the mechanism of direct cardiac reprogramming and studying the biophysical regulation of microRNAs.

Chen Zhou, PhD

Postdoctoral Scholar, Research Associate

Dr. Zhou has extensive experience of stem cell biology. He focuses on investigating direct cardiac reprogramming in chronic myocardial infarction animal model.

Dandan Yang, PhD

Postdoctoral Scholar 

Dr. Yang has extensive experience of long noncoding RNA biology. She focuses on investigating the molecular mechanism how microRNAs biophysiologically modulate the function of ion channels.

Xiaoping Wan, PhD

Staff Scientist

Dr. Wan has more than 20 years experience in cardiac electrophysiology.  She has extensive experience in myocytes isolation and in electrophysiological recordings, including patch clamp and Ca2+ transients, of cardiac myocytes and of heterologous cells. 

 Gary Pawlowski

Research Associate 

Gary has more than 10 years experience of different animal models for cardiovascular researches. He is responsible for creating animal models of cardiac diseases, animal care, and administration of all IACUC guidelines and practices.
