Seneca County - March 26, 2021

Effective Reproduction Number (Rt)

The most recent data suggests an Rt rising slightly above 1.0 in early March.

Projected Incidence

Incidence appears likely to continue its decline in the coming two weeks, though considerable statistical uncertainty exists given the relatively small population of the county.  Continued masking and social distancing will be critical to maintaining this momentum.

Asymptomatic to Symptomatic Ratio

The ratio of asymptomatic to symptomatic cases appears to have been slightly elevated relative to other northern Ohio counties during March.  A low ratio of asymptomatic to symptomatic cases facilitates mitigation efforts since symptomatic individuals usually isolate.
